OUR STORY

Dr. L.L. Cannon Sr. Christian Academy is a private Christian school established in 2010 under the leadership of Dr. Lester L. Cannon, Sr., late, Pastor of the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Oakland, California.

The Dr. L.L. Cannon Sr. Christian Academy (CCA) offers five academic core subjects plus electives from Pre-School to 8th grade and provides extended care before and after school. We have certified and experienced teachers, whose goals are to equip our students with a biblical character-based education, to instill in our students a positive learning program, the development of moral and family values, to encourage our students to value themselves and become productive citizens of their community, nation and world, through their spiritual and educational growth.

Our classes are carefully crafted to meet the development needs of each and every child. Math, English, Science, P.E., Computer Lab, Christian Education, Social Studies, Word Building, Literature, Creative Writing and Bible Reading, Electives

Our daughter is 4 years old and CCA has been her first school and care support outside of family. The teachers treat her very kind and helped us to have a warm hand off from the first day of school. The staff often communicate by text with pictures of what is happening at school that day and it is a great feeling being able to see your child smiling while learning. CCA is a great school community and we are thankful we found a learning environment with small classroom sizes, staff we care for and trust with our little one and development of her learning needs. It has also been a real blessing with the affordable tuition compared to other schools in the community.
